Steven Ortiz is one of the lead attorneys and founders of Ortiz & Sanchez. Steven graduated magna cum laude from Whittier School of Law with a certificate of concentration in trial and appellate practice and criminal law. Prior to law school, he received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to starting Ortiz & Sanchez, Steven spent four years at a boutique personal injury law firm where he fine-tuned his legal skills and knowledge to be able to open Ortiz & Sanchez. Steven has experience in handling all types of injury cases, including sexual assault, medical malpractice, mold cases, bullying cases, premises liability, and motor vehicle accidents.

Steven’s primary passion is litigating and spending time in the courtroom. During his time in law school, he was a certified law clerk at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. Steven has a deep passion for helping the underprivileged and minority communities. He takes pride in being a protector of those who cannot defend or advocate for themselves. He is a strong believer in discipline and hard work. Steven starts his day at 4:30 AM and works tirelessly until his clients obtain the compensation they deserve. Steven is an advocate of a good work-life balance and in his off time, he enjoys traveling, staying active in the gym, and spending time with his wife and two dogs Butter and Scotch.
